Dorothy E. Crowder, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 31, 1928, the daughter of the late William John and Eva Myrl (McCorkle) Kelly.Dorothy is survived by her husband, Homer R. Crowder; daughter, Catherine J. (Christopher) Ryder; one granddaughter, Emily Ann Ryder; and sister, Virginia Espiritu.Visitation will be Monday, November 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 18, at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Tabernacle, where she was a lifetime member, 2599 E. 98th St, with a visitation starting one hour prior. Graveside service will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens Whitestown, IN.

It was always uplifting to see Dorothy’s smiling face at church! She was so full of life for Jesus and a giving and compassionate woman. Thank you Lord for the honor of knowing her and for the wisdom she gave that will stay with me for life!
